Silent Dismissal
PACT wants to ensure we have safe and orderly end-of-day dismissal procedures. Silent Dismissal™ alerts classroom teachers when a parent/guardian has arrived to the pick-up lane and allows parents/guardians the ability to change their student’s dismissal plans without contacting the school office.
This is an online system that all PACT K-5 families will use to tell the school exactly how they want their children dismissed at the end of each school day. This may include car pick-up, bus, walking, or staying for an after-school activity. PACT requires that families use this system so that the school can provide a safe and accurate dismissal for every child.

At PACT, student safety remains our top priority, and we have procedures in place to ensure that children are always dismissed safely and accurately, regardless of any technological challenges.
Current Safety Measures When the App Fails
Students are never left unsupervised inside or outside the school. If the dismissal app fails and a student has not been accounted for by 3:30 p.m., the student is taken to the office. At that point, staff start contacting the student’s emergency contacts to find the best way to get the child home safely.Contingency Plan for the School Year
Students are always released to the dismissal location designated by their parent/guardian in our system, whether that is bus or parent pick-up.- If a change to dismissal plans is needed after 1:30 p.m., parents and guardians can call the school office directly. Office staff will notify the teacher so the student follows the updated plan.
- If the app isn’t working for an individual, parents can call or visit the office, and staff will make sure the classroom teacher is notified.
- Safety Patrol members and adult staff are positioned at crosswalks to stop children from entering parking lots without adult supervision. Additionally, Safety Patrols escort kindergarten and first-grade students to their buses.
Communication to Parents During a System Issue
If the system isn't working properly, PACT will inform families via ParentSquare as soon as we're aware of the problem. Families can select their preferred way to receive notifications—text, email, or both—within ParentSquare.
Bike Parking
PACT offers a bike rack at the Office Entrance for students who ride their bikes to and from school. To ensure safety and preparedness, students are strongly encouraged to:
- Wear a properly fitted helmet
- Equip their bikes with front and rear lights
- Use a secure padlock
- Carry a water bottle and holder
- Bring a portable tire pump
Biking to school is a great way to stay active and arrive ready to learn. We appreciate our students taking responsibility for their safety and gear while enjoying this healthy transportation option.
