Specialists at PACT

At PACT, learning happens everywhere—including beyond the core classroom. Through weekly instruction in art, music, physical education, library, and Character Corner, students discover new interests, build character, and develop the confidence and skills that carry into every part of their day.

Art Class

In art class, students explore their creativity through hands-on projects—painting, drawing, coloring, and collage—while learning the basic elements of art: line, color, shape, texture, and space. Each lesson builds artistic skills and encourages imagination and self-expression as students create original work that reflects their own ideas.

Character Corner (grades K-2)

Each week, K–2 students take part in Character Corner, an enrichment class focused on character development. Through hands-on activities, students explore PACT's character traits and connect them to STEM, creativity, and what it means to be part of the PACT community.

Library Media Center

The Library Media Center is an inviting space where students read, explore, and grow as learners. Lessons build literacy in both print and digital formats and help students develop research skills—how to find, evaluate, and responsibly use information—while discovering a love of reading.

Music Class

Students in grades K–5 learn through Quaver, an interactive music curriculum. Using singing, movement, rhythm, instruments, and games, they explore concepts like beat, pitch, melody, tempo, and dynamics—building musical skills and confidence while finding their own voice.

Physical Education

Built on the Minnesota State Standards and the SPARK PE curriculum, our PE program helps students develop lifelong fitness habits and motor skills. Students take part in team sports, individual fitness challenges, cooperative games, and skill-based units, while learning the value of staying active, making good choices, and working as a team.
