Hi PACT Elementary Families,

We’re halfway through summer, and it’s the perfect time for a quick reminder about our 2025 Summer Reading Challenge! Our goal is to read 2,025 books as a PACT Elementary community between May 23 and August 24—and we need everyone’s help to make it happen!

Why It Matters:

Reading over the summer helps students maintain their skills and even get ahead. Studies show that kids can lose up to 20% of their reading progress over the summer—but not our students! Let’s keep the momentum going.

How You Can Help:

• Keep reading! All books count—picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, and everything in between.

• Keep a running tally of every book your child finishes.

• In late August, we’ll send out a form for you to submit your total and your favorite read of the summer.

What’s in it for us?

If we hit our goal of 2,025 books:

• Each class will receive fun bookmarks from Dr. Bronson.

• We’ll schedule a special reading day at the neighboring amphitheater for outdoor reading and community time!
