Kindergarten – Joy in New Beginnings
Welcome to Kindergarten at PACT! This year marks the beginning of a joyful journey where curiosity takes the lead. Through play, exploration, and nurturing guidance, our kindergartners establish strong foundations for learning and friendship.
Learning Milestones
- identify letter names and sounds
- write uppercase and lowercase letters
- write sentences using a capital letter, spaces, and a punctuation mark
- build comprehension skills including identifying characters, setting, and key events in a story
- develop phonemic awareness skills (rhyming, syllables, isolating sounds)
- blend and segment sounds to read words
- read sight words
- recognize and write numbers
- count with 1-1 correspondence
- identify, create, and extend patterns
- solve addition and subtraction problems using multiple strategies
- identify and compare 2D and 3D shapes
- count sets of objects using tens and ones.
